More than miles : The real essence of travel

I don’t know how people define travel for themselves, some love capturing moments and some see it as a break from routine. For me, however, travel is about embracing every little detail of the world: its cultures and flavors. Ever since I was a child, I have been enchanted by the magic of travel, and that fascination has only grown over time.

Growing up, my parents made sure that travel became an integral part of my life. Even as a child, I felt a rush of excitement while boarding a bus or plane. Whether it was a peaceful drive through the countryside or a short trip to a bustling city, each journey sparked my curiosity. I still remember the twinkle in my eyes whenever my parents spoke about our upcoming trips. That excitement was contagious—I couldn’t wait to explore the world for myself.

My journey with travel

As I grew older, my passion for travel blended with my love for the digital world. I spent countless hours reading travel blogs, watching vlogs, and admiring stunning photos of faraway places. This mix of early experiences and modern inspiration fueled my desire to explore.

Interestingly, my most cherished trips were not grand vacations but small, spontaneous getaways. A weekend in Jaipur, an unplanned trip to Goa, or a quick visit to a newly opened amusement park. These moments taught me that travel isn’t just about distance. It’s about the experiences, the stories, and the unexpected adventures along the way.

What travel means to me :

Many people associate travel with capturing beautiful pictures or escaping daily life. While that’s true, I believe travel is much more than that. It has the power to reveal hidden aspects of everyday life. Every place teaches a lesson, whether it’s through history, art, food, or human connections. Even when I visit a new spot in my city, it excites me. The thought of exploring a new destination, no matter how small, fills me with joy.

Food plays a crucial role in my travels. While some hesitate to try unfamiliar dishes, I believe every meal is an adventure in itself. Even if something isn’t to my taste, I try it at least once because food carries the soul of a place. From Delhi’s spicy street food to the hidden sweet delicacies of Kashmir, every dish has a story to tell. In these moments, I feel deeply connected to the culture and the people.
